Product Description:
The story of this recording begins with James Dean, the first and arguably still the most iconic screen actor of the postwar period. The story combined existing material from Dean s East Of Eden, Rebel Without A Cause and Giant with pre-fame footage and interviews with those who knew him. What we have here is an interpretation of the film s soundtrack music by jazz greats Chet Baker and Bud Shank, recorded in late 1956. With Chet Baker and Bud Shank both at the creative apex of their career, this remains a land mark recording six decades on and, like its inspiration, will never be forgotten.
