Looking for Love

Connie Francis and Jim Hutton reunite for this kooky comedy about a girl who can't decide if she wants to be a star (she sings), a housewife (babies! 'burbs!) or an entrepreneur (she's invented a doohickey to keep clothes from wrinkling).

The plot is wildly improbable yet completely predictable. But for all of that Looking for Love is pleasant, a movie that is strictly for fun. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

In 1960, a bright young cast made college musicals hip again with the surf-sand-and-sexcapade Where the Boys Are. Two graduates of that smash hit -- Connie Francis and Jim Hutton -- reunite for this kooky comedy about a girl who can't decide if she wants to be a star (she sings), a housewife (babies! 'burbs!) or an entrepreneur (she's invented a doohickey to keep clothes from wrinkling). A host of stars -- including Where the Boys Are's George Hamilton, Yvette Mimieux and Paula Prentiss -- pop up . And add another well-known face: Johnny Carson makes his big-screen debut playing himself interviewing our ditzy heroine on "The Tonight Show."

Product Description:

Popular singer Connie Francis stars in this romantic musical-comedy as Libby Caruso, an aspiring young entertainer who yearns for the attention of handsom Paul Davis (Jim Hutton). Though at first Paul is not interested in her, Libby soon wins him over. Upon catching him, however, Libby changes her mind and decides a young grocer (Joby Baker) is a better prospect. Libby's roomate and pal, Jan (Susan Oliver), doesn't seem to mind leftovers when Paul takes an interest in her. Along with much of the supporting cast from Francis' first screen role, WHERE THE BOYS ARE (1960), a few celebrities also appear onscreen. Included are cameos from Johnny Carson, Danny Thomas, Paula Prentiss, George Hamilton and Yvette Mimeiux.
