Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko (2Pc) / (2Pk)

Directed by Ayumu Watanabe, the animated film tells the story of a mother and daughter with nothing in common. Living on a houseboat, Nikuko is loud and boisterous. This is a constant source of embarrassment for Kikuko, her eleven-year-old daughter. Her tendency to get into trouble, whether financial or emotional from breakups, keeps the two moving from place to place. With Nikuko in a new relationship, Kikuko fears the next move is imminent. But new information and revelations of the past change their mother-daughter relationship forever.
