I have enjoyed this collection of music since I first participated in the national release of this album 30 years ago at a small market radio station in Lucedale, Mississippi, WRBE. I still find this music amazing and up-to-date. The producer, Porter Wagoner, did an amazing job of creating a project that remains timeless in its scope. The reason he was able to do that was he was producing an artist and songwriter that has the ability to write a song that is both simple and complex, all at the same. You can be caught up in his simple story and be hit later with with deeper meanings. Congratulations Howard, your time has finally come!
