Rockabilly is music that is made from a variety of genres – bits of Blues, Country, Western Swing, Old School R&B, and Pop. It is music that occasionally percolates up into the mainstream and has sounded an influential chord that echoes down the years in the work of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, even Morrissey. Much of The Beatles early repertoire included versions of songs by Carl Perkins amongst others, and on into the seventies, the likes of Dave Edmunds, The Cramps, Elvis Costello, The Stray Cats, and scores of others were influenced by rockabilly to a greater or lesser degree.
