Entertainment Reviews:
3.5 stars out of 4 -- Brolin, in a heart-and-soul performance, takes this crazy quilt of a movie about a man surrounded by nut jobs and plays it for real. He's just tremendous.

A mighty fine few hours in the cinema.

Newshub (NZ)
Rating: 4/5 --
Bright, glitzy, cutting - and most importantly really, really funny - the brilliantly written and perfectly cast Hail, Caesar! is a raucous smorgasbord of Coen motifs.

Too often it comes off as empty riffing. The Coen's clockwork timing seems broken.

A great, big love letter to the Golden Age of Hollywood manages not only to showcase a plethora of old Hollywood genres, but also be all of them at once.

The Dispatch (Lexington, NC)
4 stars out of 4 -- HAIL, CAESAR! is an exhilarating switchup: A comic fable that’s both deftly clever and irrepressibly goofy. It is also, from stem to stern, the sweetest and sunniest film the Coens have ever made.

Rating: C --
In the end, it was a mixed bag attempt at satire, not the great spoof I was hoping for. Still, some definite laughs, so not a total loss.
