Description by OLDIES.com:
Refusing to accept defeat, embittered rebel Pvt. O'Meara (Rod Steiger) heads west after the Civil War, turning his back on the United States. Caught by the Sioux, he survives the Run of the Arrow, a brutal race of endurance, and takes himself a squaw (Sara Montiel). Inducted into the tribe, a conflicted O'Meara must soon decide where his loyalties lie when the building of an Army fort provokes a savage war between the US and the Sioux.
