PRENTISS BARNES,PETE GRAVES, BOBBY LESTER AND HARVEY FUQUA ARE THE MOONGLOWS! THE GROUP HAD A SOUND THAT NO DOOWOP GROUP IN THE 1950S COULD DUPLICATE! THAT SOUND DERIVED FROM THEIR "BLOW HARMONY"! WHEN I FIRST HEARD THE GROUP ON RECORD, I THOUGHT I WAS HEARING A BUNCH OF DOGS AND THEN I REALIZED THAT THIS "BLOW HARMONY" WAS SO UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFUL THAT OTHER R&B + SOUL ACTS STARTED USING IT AND BECAME THE TRADEMARK FOR THE MOONGLOWS! BY THE WAY, MARVIN GAYE SANG HIS FIRST RECORD WITH THE MOONGLOWS CALLED MAMA LOOCHIE! THIS GROUP IS THE GREATEST!
