Alyssa sees a housesitting job in the boondocks of the American Southwest as the perfect opportunity to get far away from her unstable and possibly dangerous ex-boyfriend. Alyssa, unfortunately, has bad timing. She starts her gig right at the onset of the seventh month of the Chinese calendar, which, according to legend, is the time when tortured souls from beyond roam the physical realm. Alone in an empty and remote house, Alyssa’s skepticism is about to be shattered by a series of encounters too terrifying to imagine.
