Rating: 3/5 -- It's a movie about a life, and life can be kinda funny and kinda poignant, even when it's full of ordinary things, like age, sickness and loss.

There's little to be harvested here, save dreary, cliché-filled dramaturgy and unaffecting performances. Full Review

Rating: 3.5/5 -- If this isn't "King Lear" or Chekhov, "Harvest" shows the truth of life as it is lived, growing messier and more complicated as the days dwindle and last chances loom.

Rating: 3.5/4 -- A modest but terrifically acted independent feature. In just his second feature film, director Marc Meyers hits the right buttons.

Robert Loggia gets in touch with his more vulnerable side while never letting go of the wiseguy, duking it out with mortality and doing Old Man And The Sea. Though as he describes it, via bicycle as opposed to a boat, serving as a chariot to oblivion. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/4 -- The movie drives home the point expressed so eloquently by Siv that "family is the only thing in life that really matters." Some may find the viewing experience hits too close to home and will be in tears remembering similar personal incidents. Full Review

Product Description:

A self-absorbed college student finds himself reluctantly forced to grow up when he returns home to bid farewell to his grandfather in this soul-stirring drama starring Robert Loggia and Arye Gross. Josh Winters (Jack Carpenter) is too wrapped up in college life to think about anything but partying with his friends. It's his last summer before graduation, and he's eager to spend it at the beach house, savoring every sun-soaked minute. When Josh learns that his grandfather (Loggia) is dying, the gravity of the situation fails to register. But as the relatives gather around to say their goodbyes, old wounds are reopened and Josh assumes the role of peacekeeper, holding his family together through one of the most difficult periods they've ever endured. Though the last thing that Josh wanted was to spend the summer with his dying grandfather, he soon discovers that the experience has taught him more about growing up than four years at college ever could.
