Earl 'Fatha' Hines is thought of as the first modern jazz pianist. His influence can be seen in the work of Nat Cole, Teddy Wilson, and Art Tatum. His piano solos were always showstoppers. This collection features many of them, as well as his album with vocal great Billy Eckstine, which includes the jazz chart topper, "Stormy Monday Blues."
