What makes this movie about a zombie attack different from any other movie about a zombie attack? Nothing but its ineptitude. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- Predictable in a lot of places, but all concerned wisely play things for knowing laughs when the occasion demands (and it often does) and Cusack and Jackson make a grand pairing. Full Review

[A] leisurely paced, character-driven drama with horror elements....CELL wants to warn viewers that they have become too attached to their mobile device...

Rating: 2.5/4 -- The concept of humankind turning into one enormous mobile hotspot for use by an evil mastermind has legs. It's too bad Cell cuts the idea off at the knees. Full Review

Product Description:

Based on Stephen King's best-selling novel of the same name, CELL follows a desperate New England artist (John Cusack) as he searches for his son following the broadcast of a mysterious cell-phone signal that transforms people into rampaging maniacs. In time, he and two other survivors (Samuel L. Jackson and Isabelle Fuhrman) attempt to find safety as society disintegrates. (Interestingly, Cusack and Jackson also starred in 1408, another adaptation of King's work.) Directed by Tod Williams (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2).
