... a blood-spattered love letter to the grindhouse vengeance movie by first-time filmmakers who, as Spinal Tap might put it, crank everything up to 11. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- Hobo With A Shotgun is as likely to please Quentin Tarantino fans as it is to offend everyone else, with scenes of elaborate decapitations and scantily clad women writhing in the ensuing blood spatter. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- Gloriously over-the-top blood pudding about a homeless man (Hauer) who goes Dirty Harry on a dead-end town run by sadistic crims. Full Review

Karim Hussain's cinematography has an artisanal graininess; the opening sequence of the carefree hobo riding a freight is actually quite lovely, like something lifted from a Hal Ashby film.

Product Description:

A hobo (Rutger Hauer) blows into a lawless town, arms himself with a shotgun, and decides to take down a ruthless crime boss in this violent, neo-exploitation throwback that began as a "fake" trailer for the "Grindhouse Trailer" competition at the 2007 South by Southwest Film Festival.
