Star Kid, written and directed by Manny Coto, has a sweet heart and a lot of sly wit, and the symbiosis between boy and cyborg is handled cleverly. For kids of a certain age, it pushes the right buttons.

Product Description:
Likable but shy kid Spencer dreams of being like his comic book hero, "Midnight Warrior," but his life is strictly grounded in reality. At least, that is, until the day an extraterrestrial craft crashes nearby, and the cybernetic organism inside invites young Spencer to try on his space suit, which gives the wearer superhuman powers.
