Entertainment Reviews:
3.5 stars out of 5 -- SOMETHING BORROWED is a snappy rom com about intersecting desires among a group of twenty-something friends. The film is terrific: smart, sexy and funny...
Box Office
Rating: 2/4 --
While Something Borrowed obviously wants to explore themes of competitiveness and betrayal in female friendships, it seems to feel compelled to hit pre-programmed chick flick beats at regular intervals.

"Inept and implausible in almost every way, Something Borrowed is the smug rom-com answer to the Apatowian man-child comedy."

What a drag it is, this journey from planned matrimony with the wrong girl, to till-death-do-us part with the right one.

The movie strains far too hard to make what Rachel and Dex have done all right, as if their guilty anguish - and the movie's saccharine score - frees us to root for them.

In Something Borrowed, Kate Hudson looks exhausted, as if she is as tired of wading through another one of her feckless duds as we are of watching them.

Product Description:
Luke Greenfield's SOMETHING BORROWED stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Rachel, a 30-year-old lawyer always able to put aside what she wants for the betterment of her BFF since childhood, Darcy (Kate Hudson), a sexy extrovert who never met a party or a drink she didn't like. Darcy is marrying Dex (Colin Egglesfield), Rachel's study partner from law school, and the guy she's had a massive crush on since they took their first Torts class together. When Dex and Rachel finally hook up just months before the wedding, he realizes he might be marrying the wrong woman, but pressures from his parents corner him into going through with his duties, even if it's not what his heart wants. Meanwhile, Rachel's other best friend, Ethan (John Krasinski), does his best to convince her to make a big play for Dex before it's too late.
