It's all frothy and silly, but Selena Gomez and her co-stars are sweet and appealing and are sure to win over the film's target audience.

Rating: 1/5 --
A dull fantasy-farce of luxe hotel suites, hot guys and product-placement jewellery, a pretty unappetising mix that the film tries to justify at the end with some blather about Romanian orphanages.

Meester more or less steals it. She plays the character undergoing the most compelling transformation, and her comic touch is both deft and subtle.

Ridiculously contrived, superficial throughout and too sugary, 'Monte Carlo' is still too innocent and convivial to cast too many aspersions on.

Product Description:
Their dream vacation in Paris proving to be an unmitigated dud, three women find the adventure they've been searching for after one of them is mistaken for a rude British heiress and pampered like royalty. Arriving in Paris to find that the City of Lights has lost its luster, a girl, her tightly wound stepsister, and her best friend ditch their tour guide and find themselves drawn into the lavish lobby of a world-class hotel. The next thing they know they're on a posh private jet to Monte Carlo, where romance and excitement await.
