TOMATOMETER

Description by OLDIES.com:

Martian invaders Princess Marcuzan (Marilyn Hanold, The Brain That Wouldn't Die) and Doctor Nadir (Lou Cutell, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure) prepare an Earth invasion as NASA sends a rocket to Mars manned by humanoid android Colonel Frank Saunders. Mistaking the craft for a warhead, the aliens send the android back to Earth in a fiery explosion. With half his face burnt off and a damaged computer brain, Frank embarks on a murderous rampage throughout Puerto Rico.

The aliens invade beaches and pool parties, making off with full-figured bikini babes as breeding stock for their dying planet. Meanwhile, Frank's creator Adam Steele (James Karen, Superman Returns, The Return of the Living Dead), and his assistant race to stop Frank's rampage and halt the girls' abduction.

With Bruce Glover (Diamonds Are Forever) in a dual role as an alien invader and the Space Monster, along with a climactic raygun-firing superhumanoid battle between Frank and the beast, Frankenstein Meets The Space Monster clocks in as a Saturday matinee classic. It rivals Plan 9 From Outer Space for sheer head-turning amazement.

frankenstein meets the space monster [ 1965 ] Movie Lover: from staten island ny -- January, 15, 2008

u.s. astronaut frank saunders[who happens to be an experimental android created by scientist dr.steele]is sent up into space to record data about our universe. he is shot down by martians who want to invade earth to kidnap women to repopulate their dying world after nuclear war has rendered their women sterile.when frank crashes to earth he is hideously deformed,as one half of his face is melted away, becoming a 'frankenstein'.he ends up battling mull a huge monster of the martians, sacrificing himself to free the kidnapped women and save earth by blowing up the space ship killing himself, the monster and the aliens.in essence it shows that even an android can show true human like heroism.the music in this film is awesome, the two tracks 'thats the way its got to be'by the poets and 'to have and to hold'by the distant cousins are lost classics.in fact my favorite part of the film is the end credits where dr.steele and his girl karen ride around puerto rico on a scooter as the beautiful 'to have and to hold ' plays.i give this film the highest possible rating to fans of cult films. i am proud to have it in my library.its a steal for only 12.95.only at oldies.com.
