The second season of Lorne Michaels's variety show marks the departure of the beloved Chevy Chase, but that wound was mended with the arrival of a new talent: Bill Murray, who became an audience favorite. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's 1976-1977 season features more of the deft combination of smarts and silliness that made the first year such a success.
