Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 7/10 --
A unique experiment, and one whose insights into human behavior aren't as important to it as its sense of curdled black humor. [But] we can't write it off as just a gonzo provocation.

Rating: 4/5 --
A strange little film showing, once again, what an incredible director Jackson is.

Pure ****ing genius. Homicidal puppets with VD just get me every time.

O senso de humor grosseiro e apelativo poderia condenar esta estranha produção - caso não fosse estrelada por marionetes adoravelmente detestáveis.

Hello Feebles. I'm amused and nauseated.

Destined to stand as an unfortunate footnote to Mr. Jackson's career.

More generous observers might cite the parallel with bad taste guru John Waters; but compared to this shallow crap, even the Baltimore Bard's offerings run deep.

Description by OLDIES.com:
Meet The Feebles, a puppet tragedy of gross proportions, relates the fateful events that lead to the infamous Feebles Variety Massacre - a day that rocked the puppet world!
Bletch, a cigar-chomping walrus has his hands full with his cast of egocentric show-biz stars. When you've got an incompetent panic-stricken fox as a director, a junkie knife-throwing frog, and a hare with a fatal disease as MC, things do not look sunny. But Bletch's biggest problem is with his star and long-time lover, Heidi the Hippo, who suspects that he is having an affair with a Siamese cat named Samantha.
Product Description:
Director Peter Jackson's follow-up to his debut feature, the gross-out horror film BAD TASTE, is a scathing show-biz parody featuring a cast of foam rubber puppets. When we first meet our young hero, Robert the Hedgehog, he has just joined the Feebles (a Muppets-like musical theater troupe) as a member of the chorus. The group is busy preparing for its big live TV debut: "The Fabulous Feebles Variety Hour." If they do well and the ratings are high enough, they might get a syndicated series. Too bad that the show's host, Harry the Hare, is afflicted with venereal disease in its advanced stages, the smack-addled knife thrower is suffering from horrific withdrawal symptoms, and the star of the show, Heidi the Hippo, has developed a binge-eating problem after being dumped by the show's producer, Bletch, who, to top it all off, moonlights as a drug pusher. Poor Robert becomes a helpless witness to all sorts of perversions before events finally escalate out of control, culminating in a machine-gun shooting spree the likes of which are seldom seen in musical comedy. Of course, this sleazy puppet extravaganza is for adults only.
