2012 collection from the music legend. Clarence Frogman Henry is one of New Orleans most loved long time performers, born in New Orleans on March 19, 1937. Frogman played the trombone in high school and snuck into bars where Professor Longhair played. Frogman wrote the 'Frog Song (Ain't Got No Home)' in 1956 after a late gig at The Joy Lounge. He was tired and the owner wasn't too interested in letting the musicians off - so he slammed the keys down and howled ''Oooh oh oh oh oh oh ohi''. He recorded it along with 'Troubles Troubles'. DJ Poppa Stoppa kept playing the backside by the Frogman which is how the name stuck. It was #20 on Billboard 1957. The rest is history. Success continued with 'But I Do' and 'You Always Hurt The One You Love', songs that have featured in movies like Forrest Gump. Frogman toured with The Beatles 1964 and has performed with the greatest, from James Brown to Elton John. And yes, he can still sing like a frog...
