Randolph Scott is Jefferson Cody, a former ranch foreman kidnapped by Comanche tribesmen, along with an heiress, Nancy (Nancy Gates). Cody negotiates a trade for the heiress, and the Comanches let them go. But it turns out that there is a large reward for returning Nancy, and a pack of outlaws would be happy to claim it.
