Rating: 2/4 -- Grown Ups is the perfect poster child for this maddening summer of movie mediocrity.

Rating: 1/5 -- Sandler's abysmal script cooks up a bite-sized moral for the finale. Groan ups, more like. Full Review

Rating: 2/10 -- Finding Grown Ups funny necessitates that one finds it inherently marvelous when fat men talk about eating, old women describe having sexual desires, and old fat women break wind. Full Review

Rating: 5/10 -- Grown Ups is cliched, predictable and full of immature and juvenile humor. The film recycles far too many jokes and it gets old real fast. Full Review

Rating: 1/5 -- Granted, Sandler's script has one or two laughs, but it's mostly excruciating and lacks the self-mockery of, say, a Judd Apatow movie. Full Review

Product Description:

Thirty years after graduating from high school, five former basketball teammates gather at the lake house where they celebrated their biggest victory to mourn the passing of their late coach. Over the course of the Fourth of July weekend, the five friends realize that just because they've all grown up and started families doesn't mean that they've lost that old spark. Adulthood is what you make of it, and no one at the lake house is eager to be the grown-up of the gang. Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider star in a film written by Sandler and Fred Wolf, and directed by Dennis Dugan (I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK & LARRY, YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN). Maria Bello, Salma Hayek, and Maya Rudolph co-star.
