...generally remains a cut above its adolescent-oriented brethren thanks primarily to star Christopher Meloni's unapologetically goofy, flat-out hilarious performance.

Product Description:
LAW AND ORDER: SVU’s Christopher Meloni stars in this oddball family-friendly movie with a healthy dose of heart. Dave Stewie was once a promising athlete who represented America at the Olympics in Seoul, but his ambitious performance wound up being an all-time blooper-reel highlight. Now, as the beloved gym teacher at Hamm Lake Middle School, Dave has another chance to go for the gold with the National Gym Class Fitness Competition. But with a borderline insane principal (Amy Sedaris) yapping at him from one side and a cheating competitor (David Alan Grier) trying to trip him from the other, it isn’t going to be easy. Co-starring Nathan Kress from Nickelodeon’s hit series ICARLY, GYM TEACHER: THE MOVIE at times recalls a sort of cleaned-up version of the inspired absurdism seen in the cult show STRANGERS WITH CANDY, another creation (not for the young ones) that involved Sedaris and director Paul Dinello.

There's only one thing standing in the way; a helmet-wearing, injury fearing, athletically-adverse new student named Roland. And to top it all off, Dave has a growing crush on the school's new teacher who turns out to be Roland's mom. What's a coach to do' In order to win the competition and avenge his defeats, Dave must turn Roland into an athletic competitor. Will they win the gold or get laughed off the mats'
