A mother, Jess Gradwell (Gail O'Grady) and her teenage daughter, Sara (Danielle Panabaker) bond after becoming similarly infatuated with two men in SEX AND THE SINGLE MOM. Both enter into risky dalliances: Jess pursues an affair with an experienced doctor, while Sara falls for a rebellious schoolboy. But the bond is soon broken when the atmosphere in the emotionally-charged household stretches to breaking point, with the two women lashing out at each other. Like mother, like daughter' When it comes to romance, single mom Jess Gradwell and her 15-year-old daughter Sara may have a lot more in common than they think.
