Rating: 4/5 -- A wonder of low-budget suspense, this is a horror movie with no monsters, only people in an impossible situation. Intense, claustrophobic, totally gripping. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/4 -- [I]t becomes clear that Parker has become stymied by his self-imposed, if admirable, restrictions. Full Review

Rating: 1/5 -- Single location films like The Chamber are faithfully reliant on character structures and evolutions, which is where Ben Parker's execution falters most. Full Review
Flickering Myth
Nov 5, 2019
Rating: 5/10 -- Another flaw is that the script borrows heavily... ok, let's be honest, practically cribs it's entire plot from James Cameron's 1989 film The Abyss...Overall, despite some good moments, The Chamber is a near miss. Full Review
Film Threat
Feb 23, 2018
Rating: 2/5 -- The feature debut of director Ben Parker is a busy if ultimately tedious existential thriller, though he does show a talent for keeping things visually interesting with this high-concept, tight-space tale. Full Review

...An intelligently proficient movie....Hackman dominates every scene he's in....O'Donnell impressively assumes center stage, rendering a resonant performance...
