A Touch of Fate

Three strangers find friendship and redemption through a tragic chance encounter in writer-director Rebecca Cook's heartwarming indie feature A TOUCH OF FATE (aka THE CHESTER STORY). Golden Globe winner Teri Hatcher stars as Megan Margulius, a New York real estate agent who leaves her high-powered lifestyle to live with her long-distance fiancé Craig (Daniel Green) in the small Southern town of Chester, North Carolina. Meanwhile, entertainment lawyer Roy Kline (Robert Treveiler) has grudgingly made a similar trek to his hometown of Chester, only for a far less optimistic purpose--his mother is dying and wishes to see him. When Megan and Roy are involved in a car accident that kills Chester local Kenny McGruff (Gil Johnson), the pair are thrust into a relationship with the man's widow Jessie (Andrea Powell) and young son Charlie (Cody Newton), triggering a healing journey of forgiveness, redemption, and unexpected love.
