Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 3/10 --
No character, no real sense of narrative, no meaningful message. It's just terrible, shallow people doing terrible, shallow things.

Rating: 3/5 --
This is Korine's trick: he pulls the audience into the decadence of Spring Break before exposing its soulless underside.

CineVue
Spring Breakers is a crowd-pleaser, although given its confounding creepiness, the crowd it pleases most is surely the forty-year-old filmmaker's intellectual fan base.

The New York Review of Books
4 stars out of 5 -- A lurid, luminous teen-bender movie, as ludicrous as it is stylish, and Harmony Korine’s best film in years.
Empire
As transgressive as is, it never quite makes the leap to becoming transcendent of the pop culture it seeks to detonate.

Moveable Fest
[Mr. Korine] turns his exploration into such a gonzo, outrageously funny party that it takes a while to appreciate that this is more of a horror film than a comedy.
New York Times
3.5 stars out of 4 -- A candy-colored fever dream is the most unforgettable movie of the year so far.
Chicago Sun-Times
Product Description:
Four college coeds find their Florida spring break taking an unexpectedly violent turn after falling in with a local gangster in this surreal black comedy from Harmony Korine (MISTER LONELY, TRASH HUMPERS). Left broke and alone on campus as their classmates head to Florida for some fun in the sun, coeds Candy (Vanessa Hudgens), Brit (Ashley Benson) and Cotty (Rachel Korine) steal a car, rob a local diner with plastic guns, and head south with their devoutly religious girlfriend Faith (Selena Gomez) in tow. But when the girls are thrown in jail following a police raid on a beachfront apartment, it looks like the party is over until wild-eyed drug dealer Alien (James Franco) inexplicably posts their bail. Sensing danger, Faith boards a bus bound for school as her three friends fall into a dangerous cycle of drugs and debauchery. Later, a scary run-in with Alien's bitter rival prompts yet another of the girls to hightail it back to campus, leaving the remaining two to embrace their dangerous new lifestyle with reckless abandon.
