Description by OLDIES.com:

A secret Indian gold mine in the forbidding mountains of the Badlands has become a battleground of greed. Corrupt mining magnate Chet Kasedon, who has tried for years to locate it, kidnaps young tribal chief Moya, and tries to flog the secret out of him with the lash. The torture is witnessed by recently hired mining engineer, Randolph Gale, who bravely intervenes. Barely escaping with their lives when company thugs try to gun them down, Gale takes the injured chief to Doc Belding. Doc's beautiful daughter, Judy, just happens to be engaged to Chet Kasedon. When Gale learns of the impending marriage, he's determined to not only sabotage Kasedon's plans to steal the Indians' gold, but to stop the wedding as well.

In addition to ruggedly handsome Western star, Tom Keene, Desert Gold boasts the presence of Buster Crabbe, playing the stoic Chief Moya, and Robert Cummings as comical Fordyce Mortimer. Crabbe is best remembered as Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers in several extremely popular serials of the 1930s. Robert Cummings was just beginning an impressive career in film and television that culminated in the 1950s with his own comedy series, "The Robert Cummings Show" (aka "Love That Bob").
