The National (UAE)
PEEPLES is witty, charming and light....Its upbeat freshness is also distinctive from the bitter flavor of so many recent Hollywood rom-coms.
Los Angeles Times
Rating: 1.0/5 --
This messy and oftentimes obnoxious comedy relies too often on cheap humor to get its points across.

Big Hollywood
Modest in aspiration, Peeples is by no means a must-see movie, but it's awfully charming all the same.
Philadelphia Weekly
It’s a light and occasionally very funny movie....One of the smartest and most accomplished films to emerge from under the Perry banner.
A.V. Club
Pleasant, if inane - helped along by a likable cast that's clearly having fun.

New York Magazine/Vulture
It's a broad comedy about family dysfunction that provides some scattered laughs amid a story that is woefully familiar and predictable.

Product Description:
An Average Joe crashes a luxurious family gathering in the Hamptons in hopes of asking for his true love's hand in marriage, and learns that even wealthy families have their fair share of quirks in this family comedy from producer Tyler Perry. Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) may not be a blue blood, but he loves Grace (Kerry Washington), and he's eager to propose. Convinced that his best bet is to make his move while Grace's entire family is present, Wade boldly invites himself to her family reunion, and does his best to make a good impression. Over the course of an eventful weekend, he learns that he may fit in better with the dysfunctional yet well-to-do clan than he ever could have anticipated. David Alan Grier, Melvin Van Peebles, and Ana Gasteyer co-star.
