Doo Wop Diner, Volume 1

I value Mr. Coda's reviews, because I feel that they are good, incisive AND 'We ain't gonna get no more!' I used to have the original issue of Vol 2 of this series, and am happy to be able to replace & obtain all 3 of these Volumes! While there is an irony here, I feel, in that while Cub only has a review for Volume One, here, he writes of 'a cryptic statement' and the surviving singers on this album (at the time): 'whatever personnel is still alive,' several years before he succumbed to his problems with diabetes and kidney failure. I value Oldies keeping this music, and Cub's reviews, available. It is interesting to note, that, at this time, it is (slightly) less expensive to buy all three volumes individually, as opposed to buying the 3 Volume compilation! If you like this style of music at all, at least some of these selections are great, and the recording quality is a big plus. In the Los Angeles area, I first heard about this series from D Js such as Steve Propes playing selections from it, on the radio.
