Purely as thriller, Yust's movie holds up better than many more familiar titles from the era: it's cleverly plotted, makes good use of the Philadelphia locations, and the leads are surprisingly strong.

Product Description:
Based on the novel by real life pimp and con Iceberg Slim, TRICK BABY tells the story of a fair-skinned black con nicknamed "White Folks," and his buddy Blue. These two use their scam to trick the straights and make a bit of scratch, all the while avoiding Philadelphia's notoriously corrupt cops and gangsters.
