What this BEGUILED has done is deepen the material’s implicit wellsprings of loneliness and longing, mitigating some of the inherent sexism by attempting to genuinely grapple with the desires of its cooped-up characters. -- Grade: B

Product Description:
In this Civil War drama, an injured Union soldier (Colin Farrell) seeks refuge at an all-female boarding school in the South, but his presence there soon poisons the relationships between the various women. Sofia Coppola wrote and directed this remake of the 1971 film of the same name, which starred Clint Eastwood in the lead role.
