4 Movies on 2 Double-Sided Discs!

In an effort to celebrate the art of filmmaking, we proudly present our Independent Film Makers Series. Independent film has a very important and powerful voice in our society that encourages diversity and opens doors for filmmakers around the world. Independent film gives artists the opportunity to express their views and create their own vision without the intervention of outside parties. Enjoy these four groundbreaking films that truly encapsulate the passion and essence of filmmaking!

Cannes Man (1996, 90 mins.): Sy Lerner - producer, director and a legend within the industry - has announced his next major film. Now, all the stars at Cannes are lining up to sign up, script-unseen. But what sort of plan does Sy really have? This time he's bet a fellow film executive that he can turn a complete nobody into a star by the time the Cannes Film Festival has come to a close. This satirical look at the film industry, shot on location at Cannes, France, features special appearances by Johnny Depp, Treat Williams, Jim Jarmusch and many others.

Raw Fish (2001, 90 mins.): A college comedy about a guy named Fish and his frat buddies who enter a contest to determine "who can shoot the farthest" in order to win a scene with a famous porn star. Fish and his buddies prepare by trying to remain celibate for an entire week prior to the contest as comedy ensues with mishaps and gags.

Interruptions (1997, 87 mins.): Just when you thought everything has been said about the dysfunctional family, along comes Interruptions, an edgy comic take on a chaotic clan that turns the typical Woody Allen-neurotic-vision into a comparative paradise. Wendy Shuman, returning home after a year away at college, finds you don't have to leave home to fall down a rabbit hole of surreal characters - you only have to come home.

The Book That Wrote Itself (1999, 71 mins.): Vincent Macken has written his Magnus Opus, but nobody will publish it. To prove to the publishers and his detractors that his novel is great, he decides to live out the story of his novel. He hires a filmmaker to help him document his experiences on video. When he has documented most of his novel on video, he decides that maybe it should be a movie instead.
