Rating: 3/5 -- Virtuosity doesn't always compute, but like last summer's Speed, it is far more fully realized cinematically than many less commercial, more serious pictures. Full Review

The world of Virtuosity may be spanking new, but the ideas are yesterday's news. Full Review

Rating: 1/4 -- The presence of Washington lends the picture a much-needed dose of authenticity. But in the end Virtuosity is disconnected and uninvolving. Full Review

Though Virtuosity connects all the dots to give audiences a roller-coaster ride, the movie begets nothing new: It's stillborn.

Rating: 3/4 -- Shallow stuff, but the solid visual effects, decent stunts, and the work of Washington and Crowe make it watchable. Full Review

Rating: 2/4 -- Given Washington's presence and the promise of a virtual reality action story, Virtuosity has some appeal -- provided, of course, the viewers aren't selective. Full Review

Product Description:

In 1999 Los Angeles, an imprisoned ex-cop is given one last shot at redemption when he's turned loose to track down a virtual killer who has escaped the confines of cyberspace. Computer-generated special effects--and a pre-stardom performance from Russell Crowe as the digital killer--enhance this thriller from the director of 1992's THE LAWNMOWER MAN.

Plot Synopsis:

When Sid 6.7, a psychopathic robot, escapes from virtual reality and enters the real world, it is up to ex-cop Parker Barnes, whose family Sid violently murdered, and police psychologist Madison Carter to hunt down the killing machine.
