Description by OLDIES.com:
While out on patrol with a squadron of WWII Navy airmen, a pilot learns that he has just become a father. He can't wait to return to base so that he can see his wife and newborn child, but when he finally gets there he learns the tragic news - the mother has died due to complications from the delivery. His flying buddies are unable to console him and, in his misery, he takes his own life. Now the surviving squad members begin a new mission - keeping the baby out of the hands of officials who want to put it up for adoption. Their mission is jeopardized when a gangster steals the infant, believing it to be his!
Star William Gargan is best remembered today for his hard-boiled lead in dozens of motion pictures from 1930 through the late 1950s and for playing the title role in the "Martin Kane, Private Eye" television series. Director Nate Watt had a strong career as an Assistant Director, serving in this capacity in such pictures as All Quiet on the Western Front (1930), The Front Page (1931) and Of Mice and Men (1939).
