Rating: 1.5/5 -- You feel sorry for everyone who's working so hard to prop up the farce - especially Mr. Fogel, the director, whose work seems alternately desperate and lost. Full Review

An appalling array of hideous ethic and gender stereotypes is what passes for 'humor' in this pitiful excuse for a comedy. Full Review

Product Description:

A Gentile man pretends to be Jewish to impress the girl of his dreams, enlisting the aid of his Jewish best friend in order to maintain the elaborate ruse in this romantic comedy based on the hit play by Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson. Christian O'Connell (Ivan Sergei) and Adam Lipschitz (Joel David Moore) have been best friends since childhood. As Adam begins questioning his decision to marry Hannah (Jamie-Lynn Sigler), Christian falls hard for Alison (Jennifer Love Hewitt), a rabbi's daughter. Having impulsively introduced himself to Alison as "Avi Rosenberg" Christian finds himself in the difficult position of having to maintain his deception with more than a little help from his old pal Adam. But as the lies begin to snowball, it's only a matter of time before both men are faced with making revelations that could throw their love lives into chaos. Jon Lovitz, Rita Wilson, Camryn Manheim, and Peter Stormare co-star.
