Maya Vargas (Jennifer Lopez) is an assistant manager with a stellar employment record but lacks a college degree that makes her unqualified for a big promotion. When her fake resume and persona impressed a big financial firm enough to hire her, it completely changes her life. She then sets out to prove to the world that street smarts matter just as much as, if not more than, degrees and titles.
