Description by OLDIES.com:
Beautiful actress Claire Norvelle takes a luxury cruise to Europe hotly pursued by debonair John Blair, a wealthy Broadway investor who refuses to take "no" for an answer. Blair, in turn, is being stalked by his angry and jealous girlfriend Constance. Rejecting Blair's advances, Claire finds welcome company with handsome Bruce Allen, a brilliant writer specializing in criminology. When Blair is found dead, Claire is arrested and charged with murder. Refusing to believe that Claire is guilty, Allen must uncover the real killer, and save her from the gallows.
London stage veteran Jameson Thomas, who moved to Hollywood at the dawn of the sound era, is best remembered for his performances in It Happened One Night and Jane Eyre, both in 1934. Wealthy, European educated Aileen Pringle rose to prominence in 1924 when she co-starred with Conrad Nagel in the potboiler Three Weeks. She was known as "Darling of the Intelligentsia" with George Gershwin, and H.L Mencken among her circle of highly cultured friends, and was recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
