Actor Ethan Hawke directed, co-wrote and co-produced this music biopic about American country music singer-songwriter Blaze Foley (1949-1989). The screenplay was adapted from co-writer Sybil Rosen's 2008 memoir LIVING IN THE WOODS IN A TREE: REMEMBERING BLAZE. Benjamin Dickey stars as the titular character in this non-chronological examination Foley's traumatic childhood, his relationship with his wife (Rosen), his brief success, his legacy and his untimely death.
