Entertainment Reviews:
With I, TONYA Robbie is handed a plum role, filled with superficial, actor-friendly trappings and of course a fascinating and complex personality and character arc -- and she gives the best performance of her career.
Chicago Sun-Times
There is humor and sadness, documentary texture versus dramatization, a duality that manages to create a unique tone. [Full Review in Spanish]

Espinof
3.5 stars out of 4 -- I, TONYA -- a raunchy, demented, dark-comic dazzler, snappily directed by Craig Gillespie from an anything-goes script by Steven Rogers, gives Tonya a chance to prove her almost-innocence.
Rolling Stone
Rating: 4/5 --
Margot Robbie is an explosive delight and Craig Gillespie has found a way to make figure skating as intimidating as being initiated into the mafia.

Reel Rundown
Margot Robbie is a sequined force of nature as disgraced figure-skating champ Tonya Harding in the most bonkers biopic you’ll see this side of SID AND NANCY.
USA Today
I, TONYA reintroduces us to the most infamous athlete-villain of the first half of 1994 and lets her, for once, have the last say....Margot Robbie takes obvious pleasure in playing figure skater Tonya Harding, from her vulnerable teens to her present-tense, take-it-or-leave-it retirement.
Hollywood Reporter
It easily earns high scores across categories: the music is infectious, the direction is like a Coen-brothers romp, and the cast is all-star caliber.

Narrative Muse
Product Description:
This biopic uses the format of a faux documentary to trace the rise and scandal-fueled fall of figure skater Tonya Harding (Margot Robbie). Pushed into skating by her domineering mother (Allison Janney), Harding finds great success, yet ends up clashing with the sport's desire to mold its female athletes into an image of wholesomeness. Later, her career comes crashing down when her ex-husband (Sebastian Stan) orchestrates an attack on rival skater Nancy Kerrigan. Directed by Craig Gillespie (LARS AND THE REAL GIRL).
