Description by OLDIES.com:
The Frontier Marshals try to restore order to a community where raiders are driving out local ranchers. They are unaware that Ace Shannon, the mastermind behind these crimes, has hatched a scheme that could have disastrous worldwide implications! Pretending to be on the wrong side of the law, Art Davis and Bill Boyd infiltrate the gang of raiders while Lee Powell, retaining his marshal's guise, matches wits with the badmen. But the motive for the raids eludes them. There's a deposit of vanadium ore in the ground under the ranches, and Shannon has abducted a scientist who can turn it into gold. If the lawmen can't prevent Shannon from grabbing up all this land, he'll flood the market with synthetic gold until the monetary system of the world is destroyed.
Prairie Pals was one of six entries in PRC's "Frontier Marshals" series, with Davis, Boyd and Powell playing Western characters under their own names. Multi-talented minions of the law, they ride and fight hard, sing songs at the drop of a Stetson, and even communicate with each other via Morse code by plucking at the strings of a guitar!
BONUS: Includes rare 1938 episode of the "Lone Ranger" serial starring Lee Powell.
