Bataan peninsula, 1942. Sgt. Bill Dane (Robert Taylor) and his twelve men face hopeless odds as the enemy pushes toward its inevitable conquest of the Philippines. They are cut off from reinforcements, weakened by malaria, hugely outnumbered.
