Rating: 2/5 -- Overall, Alita: Battle Angel looks great but the overly sentimental script and uneven character development come across as a rushed mess. Full Review

Like AVATAR, the movie creates its own hybridized live action/animated reality.

Rating: 10 / 10 -- Yes, I am giving Alita: Battle Angel one of my stingy 10's out of a possible 10. Imaginative, true to the artists' concepts, and an all-out cinematic action blast. Full Review

The movie’s star is a promising Rosa Salazar as the namesake hero, a mysterious yet powerful teen girl bot with oversized anime-style eyes and a good and very powerful heart that could power a city.

Product Description:

Director Robert Rodriguez's cyberpunk action film is based on Gunnm, a manga series that was created by Yukito Kishiro in 1993. Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, the narrative unfolds in a post-apocalyptic dystopia caused by a technological catastrophe. A scientist (Christoph Waltz) finds and mends a cyborg (Rosa Salazar) who has lost all her memories but retains her mastery of lost cyborg martial arts. The film also features Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, and Michelle Rodriguez in supporting roles.
