Description by OLDIES.com:
Madame Helene Smith runs a Park Avenue spa for gossipy high society ladies. During a night on the town with charismatic gambler Pat Fenton, she unwittingly encounters a socialite in the midst of an adulterous affair. When the story goes public, Helene is blamed for blowing the whistle, and powerful forces conspire to silence her.
Texas native Adrianne Ames was a B-movie star during the 1930s. She was best known for her roles in The Death Kiss (1932) with Bela Lugosi and You're Telling Me! (1934) with W. C. Fields. Esther Ralston was a comedy silent and talkie favorite, appearing in films such as Peter Pan (1924) and Lonely Wives (1931). George Meeker got his start on Broadway and began his film career at the end of the silent era with John Ford's Four Sons (1928). He was often cast as villains in movies such as Merry-Go-Round (1932) and Murder on a Honeymoon (1935). Director Charles Lamont started out as an actor and eventually became the famed director of many Abbott and Costello pictures for Universal.
