Dan Morgan has the fastest horse on the track for Saturday's high-stakes race, and everyone knows it. Rival trainer Walker Hammond needs a win badly this weekend, so he pays off a jockey to secretly dope Morgan's horse, Carnation, before the race. Carnation wins by three lengths, but is disqualified when post-race testing reveals doping. The win and the purse go to Hammond, while Dan is banned from racing. Completely innocent, Dan goes on a desperate and dangerous search to find out who framed him and to clear his name.
