Description by OLDIES.com:
Mary Ellis comes to Broadway loaded with talent and big dreams but finds that jobs are hard to come by for a stranger from a small town. Dancer Bubbles Revere tries to show newcomer Mary the ropes, by landing her a job in the chorus. After the show, one of the big investors puts the squeeze on the beautiful show girl who refuses to be "friendly" and is promptly fired. Jobless and broke, Mary desperately searches for another avenue into show business, before she is forced to give up and return home.
A conservatory-trained pianist, pretty Colleen Moore was introduced to the silver screen in her late teens with The Savage (1917). She became a major box-office star by 1927, bringing the "flapper" persona to life with her signature bob hairstyle. She is best remembered for her comedic roles in Ella Cinders (1926) and Orchids And Ermine (1927).
