Rating: 3/4 -- This is the usual Hollywood biopic that contains almost as much fiction as fact, but that doesn't dim enjoyment of this celebration of one of the all-time great horror stars. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

James Cagney give a multifaceted portrayal of silent cinema legend Lon Chaney. In early horror classics such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of The Opera, Lon Chaney captivated audiences with his vivid personifications of grotesque characters. Despite his talent and success, Chaney led a life plagued by hardship and heartache. This film traces the trajectory of the actor's career.
