Has the distinction of being one of those movies that's so bad it actually has some solid entertainment value. Full Review

Steel isn't a movie to excite or even entertain. It exists to move merchandise -- specifically, Shaquille O'Neal's oversized physique and marketing machine.

The Los Angeles Lakers' center, at 7-foot-1, is appealing and breathes much needed large life into a tolerable stinker of a film. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

Basketball superstar Shaquille O'Neal sheds his hi-tops for a dazzling suit of battle armor as the latest and greatest DC Comics superhero to wage war on crime. When evil scientist Judd Nelson begins selling top-secret weapons to LA's street gangs, former military researcher Shaq joins forces with a brilliant electronics expert to build an invincible suit of armor. Layered in his magnetic metal sheath and armed with his own hi-tech weaponry, Shaq transforms into his mythic alter-ego, "Steel." From a secret command center, Steel sets out on a high-powered silver motorcycle to confront Nelson and rid the city of crime.

Produced by Oscar, Emmy and Grammy-winning producer/composer/performer, Quincy Jones.

Product Description:

NBA superstar O'Neal slam-dunks his way onto the silver screen as the titular comic book hero, an erstwhile weapons researcher who applies his military know-how as an armored urban crimefighter (accompanied by Roundtree, who could be a sidekick only to the 7-foot-1 O'Neal). Based on the comics by Louise Simonson and Jon Bogdanove.
