Love Theme From "The Godfather" / Alone Again (Naturally) Music Lover: from Houston, TX US -- February, 4, 2005

The group of singers and the arrangements on these two albums were some of Ray Conniff's best work of the 70's (if not ever). Excellent sound quality and very contempoary arrangements contained on both and Ray's ability to achieve the level of percision with this group of singers (almost as one voice) make this release a conerstone of my collection. "Alone Again (Naturally)" was my first exposure to Ray Conniff's music. My father purchased it on 8-track tape back in 1974 and I became hooked on the Conniff sound from the moment I heard it. I no longer have that 8-track, but I do have the LP and am so grateful to Collectables to now have in on cd. My dad passed away in 1992 and Ray in 2001 but thanks to you, I will have some cherrished memories alive and well for years to come in this music....Priceless! Thnak you.

WHAT A SOUND!!!! Music Lover: from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil -- May, 22, 2004

WOW! Have just received Collectables' "GODFATHER/ALONE AGAIN": What a sound! I made a comparison between the original LPs and this new CD version - It's unbelievable: Zillions better! Hope Collectables will keep releasing the missing ones like "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life", "TV Themes", "Send in the Clowns", "After the Lovin", etc, etc....

Perhaps Conniff's All-Time Best Music Lover: from Kennedy Space Center, FL US -- March, 26, 2004

The "Love Theme From The Godfather" may well be Ray Conniff's best LP of all time. Naturally, that sentiment may be partially based on the effect of his "new sound" that was so beautifully rendered in all of the selections. "Alone Again, Naturally" is really not far behind in quality - as if making such a judgement of any Conniff productions is easy! I am certain that this "two-fer" is right at the top of any fan's priority list, and it is pure joy to see Collectables continuing to please Ray's legions of fans with these releases. An utterly fantastic product!!

Kudos To Collectibles For THE Ray Conniff 2for1 Godfather/Naturally Release Music Lover: from New Jersey -- January, 19, 2004

Folks, these are two of the most BEAUTIFULLY PRODUCED Ray Conniff 70's LPs! Listen to Ray Conniff as he (very rarely but certainly in this instance)tackles "a string section" in Alone Again Naturally.....Listen to his Dave Clark Five cover of "BECAUSE." Sink your soul into the beautifully arranged "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast..." You could almost swear you were listening to the Partridge Family backing up The Baher Brothers on DWalkSoFast...AS far as the SNUFF GARRETT (yes, that's right, Sonny & Cher's Snuff Garrett, as well as THE 50 GUITARS of TOMMY GARRETT...) Wow! Well, back to Ray Conniff, Snuff Garrett produced this ledgendary Godfather LP..Ray uses fewer singers and puts out one of the most MODERN 70's GEMs ever made..Listen to A Cowboy's Work Is Never Done.....Precious and Few....First Time Ever I Saw YOUR FACE...Wow!! Hurting Each Each Other sometimes I think sounds better than the original...So does, PRECIOUS and FEW....I remember being 10 years old and hearing this LP play from my dad's PANASONIC LP changer and believe me folks, this LP was cutting EDGE....
Collectibles, YOU MUST continue to hear the FANS of Ray Conniff and release HARMONY, SUNSHINE of MY LIFE, I Can See Clearly NOW, Laughter in the Rain.......These are GEMS that the WELL to DO Ray Conniff fans will buy even before the RELEASE DATE....WE want what we WANT and Ray Conniff LPs from the 70's is a MUST for our HAPPINESS!!!!

RAY CONNIFF ON THE SEVENTIES Music Lover: from rio de janeiro, brazil -- January, 10, 2004

"Godfather" and "Alone Again" are respectively the second and third albums Ray Conniff did with the then "New Sound" from his (new) Singers. It meant a breath of fresh air in the always wonderful Conniff sound. Those new Singers could sing better the songs of the day and the arrangements also got much more contemporary.
Both albums sound great both technically and musically speaking.
Listen to "A Horse with no name" and "Because" and you will agree with me.
Congratulations to Collectables for keeping on release these gems from the Conniff catalogue. A worth addition to our colections!

A very good selection Music Lover: from Fontana, CA US -- January, 9, 2004

I´m waiting this two LPs to complete my collection of LPs to CDs. This is a very good selection of music of Ray Conniff.
