Music Lovers' Ratings & Reviews:
Based on 8 ratings.
It's really a travisty that Stacy Lattisaw never gained the crossover status and appeal that she well deserved. She possessed the vocal skills that would put many of today's so called "divas" to shame. All of her projects on the cotillion label were both well written and adroitly produced for their time. The album "Sixteen" for some reason fell through the cracks and sold poorly at the time of it's release; a shame because there is much here to enjoy.
Most of the uptempo selections sound dated by today's standards, but the ballads in my opinion remain pure, lighthearted and sweet. Take a listen to, "I've loved you somewhere before", "Miracles", "The Ways of love" and "Johey" and see don't they leave you with a smile on your face. "Sixteen" is definately a must have for any Stacy Lattisaw fan and it's well over due for this underrated singers back catalogue to become available.
